Guest Speaker (July 19th): Alan Horne Presents on The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO)

Learn about doing business in Japan and how companies in the US can benefit from trading and investing in one of the country’s strongest partners in Asia

This week’s speaker (Wednesday, July 19th at 5:30 pm) is Mr. Alan Horne of Edgewood Associates, who the appointed representative for the Japan External Trade Organization. JETRO is a nonprofit, Japanese government–sponsored organization focused on promoting mutually-beneficial trade between Japan and countries like the USA.

Mr. Horne spent over a decade living in Japan working in international sales in Suzuki’s headquarters, and during that time learned what it takes to be successful in engaging in business with people from one of the most fascinating and complex cultures in the world.

This presentation by Alan Horne is a great event for anyone who has ever been interested in exploring the opportunity of doing business with Japan. 

Alan Horne is a fellow Rotarian, a Paul Harris Fellow, and a Past-President of the Rome Seven Hills Rotary Club in northwest Georgia. Alan also served as an Assistant District Governor, or “AG,” for District 6910, which was one of the three host districts in Georgia for the Rotary International Convention held last month in Atlanta.

Mr. Horne is the President at Edgewood Associates, Inc. an he is a graduate of the Thunderbird School of Global Management (now a school within Arizona State University), where he earned a Master of Business Administration and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida.
