Why We Serve as Rotarians
The Rotary Club of International Drive is involved in a variety of Service Projects, local programs and initiatives as part of our overall commitment to Service Above Self. Furthermore, our Rotary Club’s Board and Directors are guided by Rotary’s Four Way Test of the things we think, say or do:
- Is it the Truth?
- Is it Fair to ALL Concerned?
- Will it build Goodwill and Better Friendships?
- Will it be Beneficial to ALL Concerned?
Unoficially, we love to add a 5th one: Is it Fun? After all, we volunteer to give back to our community by working together in fellowship and guided by the Principles of Rotary and through its Avenues of Service.
Benefits of Service
Every Rotarian has the opportunity of getting involved as a Board Member. After all, like anything else in life, you get back as much as you put into any effort—and Rotary is no different.
Rotary gives everyday citizens of every profession the opportunity to:
- Develop valuable leadership skills
- Volunteer in local service projects
- Visit Rotary Clubs around the world
- Develop life-long friendships
- Connect with like-minded professionals
